About me
I am Julio Bracero, a bilingual (English+Spanish) pediatrician in Dallas, Texas. Currently, I work as a locum tenens pediatrician in the Dallas area.
I am a Puerto Rico native and always wanted to become a pediatrician! Besides my medical training, I have national-level experience in advocacy, medical education, and international health projects.
What does this mean for you? It means I know how to find the best resources available for your child, and I know how to reach out to them so they can help you. For example, if your child has a complex medical condition like ADHD, autism, or seizures, I know how to care for these conditions. I will help you find a specialist and keep in touch with you throughout the process. I am also comfortable in managing complex and/or long-term conditions like asthma, autism, speech delays, and other learning problems. I also work with families that have specific needs, such as foster children, international adoptees and/or refugees, and recent immigrants.
Lastly, my main goal is to help your family through our complicated healthcare system in the best way I can.
Here are other ways I am different from other doctors:
If you (or a sub-specialist) need your child’s medical records – I can send the documents to you via secure, HIPAA-compliant email.
If the school requires a letter for your child’s ADHD medication – I can provide all needed documents and send them to the school for you.
If you need to ask any questions after a medical visit – you can keep in touch with me via your smartphone.
Parents: to communicate with me directly, please sign up to the practice’s patient portal (just give your email address to the front desk). Once you are set up, we can communicate in a secure, HIPAA-compliant chat about anything except emergencies.
Do NOT ask for patient information via my email form. For appointments, call the office. For emergencies, call 9-11.
